Description
We are looking for some volunteers to help us keep a few areas of Safety City clear of snow and safe for people walking between buildings. The areas we would like to focus on are the two entrance gates to safety city, The sidewalk to the Farm Safety Barn, a path to our resource shed, and our wheelchair ramp area. Outdoor work. Volunteers need to dress appropriately for the weather and the task. Volunteers should be prepared to get a good workout and be familiar with proper use of a snow shovel. We do not own a snow blower at this time.
Training Details
Meeting with Executive Director to go over safety and expectations. Ongoing communications with Executive Director to address needs as they arise.

Variable Outdoor Conditions Physically demanding work Use of Shovels to clear snow Spreading of sand/ gravel as needed Spreading of ice melt product as needed May be icy/slippery conditions at times

Volunteer Shifts would be needed based on snowfalls. Volunteer time would be somewhat flexible. Volunteers time would vary depending on amount of snow and number of volunteers available for each work party.
