Description: Dream Home Lottery Fundraiser Volunteer

Do you enjoy meeting new people in a fun environment? Grande Prairie and Area Safe Communities is looking for volunteers to assist us in fundraising by selling tickets for the 2018 Dream Home Lottery.

Multiple daytime and evening shifts available between January 25 and January 30, 2018. Each shift is 3 hours in length. Please see our website for a complete listing of available shifts. http://www.gpsafecommunities.com/volunteer-opportunities.html

Volunteers will:
Assist with Dream Home Lottery Ticket Sales at the event location.
Be friendly, reliable, and responsible
Arrive at shift location at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start
Manage money & account for Ticket sales
Use a laptop and electronic payment machine
Preform additional tasks as required during shift

Training Details: Ticket Sales training will be provided on the job at the beginning of each shift.
Working Conditions: The ticket sales area is indoors in a heated garage attached to the 2018 Dream Home. Please bring some warm clothing layers as the ticket sales area is heated but the frequency of the door opening may create cool drafts.

There will be a minimum of four volunteers working together for each shift.

Laptops and Electronic payment machines are used for ticket sales.

Additional duties may include: Light housekeeping such as dusting, tidying up brochures or organizing shoes to prevent tripping hazards.

Time Detail: 3 hour shifts.
